Bienvenue à Paris!
Join Dr. Trent Olsen and the Art History and Visual Culture department of Lindenwood University in Spring 2023 for a study of the City of Lights from the time of its ancient foundations up to the modern period. After learning about Paris in the classroom, it will be time to fly to the capital of France to experience its sights, smells, and tastes in person! For two weeks, (tentative trip dates May 15-28), students will travel to sites and museums around the city.
Students will explore the beginnings of Gothic architecture, ride bikes through the sprawling gardens of Versailles where the Sun King, Louis XIV, and Marie-Antoinette once strolled, and encounter some of the greatest works of art humankind has ever produced on a guided tour in the Louvre Museum. And you’ll want to be sure to bring your walking shoes as guided instruction will be paired with plenty of free time for students to explore Parsis’ sweeping boulevards, lush city parks, and fashionable shopping districts. You can contact Dr. Trent Olsen (tolsen@lindenwood.edu) or click the link below for more information, including everything you need to register. Paris is just one click away!
