I am currently a fifth year Ph.D. candidate in the History of Art Department at The Ohio State University. Under the direction of Dr. Andrew Shelton, I am writing my dissertation, "Post-Imperial Masculinities" wherein I investigate the manifestation of ideal masculinity in portraiture in post-Napoleonic France. Beyond my dissertation project, my general research interests include issues of gender and sexuality, as well as the transnational connections between Russia and the West, and the way international artistic exchange impacted Russian art and national identity.
I completed a Master's degree in Art History and Curatorial Studies at Brigham Young University in 2014, where I also earned a dual Bachelor's degrees in Humanities and Russian in 2012.
As a native of Wyoming who went to went to college in Utah, I love spending time in the mountains, whether it be skiing, snowboarding, hiking, or camping. And when I have the time, I also aspire to be a triathlete.
